Mentorship by Abbigail Richards

Industry-level education shaped through over 13 years working across Theatre, Film, Television, Bridal and Editorial Hair & Makeup.

Education has remained a central part of Abbigail’s career throughout her journey within the industry.

Alongside working internationally across theatre, Film and Television, she has spent over a decade teaching, mentoring and lecturing artists at various stages of their careers — from one-to-one development through to group masterclasses and institutional teaching.

Her approach focuses not only on technical refinement, but on building confidence, professionalism and a deeper understanding of artistry as a whole.

A Career Built Through Experience

Abbigail began her career within theatre, touring internationally with productions across the world before transitioning into Film, Television and Editorial Hair & Makeup.

Working within high-pressure creative environments developed an instinctive understanding of structure, longevity, time management and visual storytelling — experience that now informs both her studio work and education approach.

Her work has included contributing to award-winning productions alongside internationally recognised artists and creative teams.

Teaching & Lecturing

Over the past 13 years, Abbigail has taught and lectured across both private and institutional settings.

This includes educational work with institutions such as:

• The Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A)
• The Guildford School of Acting (GSA)

Alongside this, she has delivered:
• One-to-one mentorships
• Group makeup lessons
• Bridal hair education
• Industry-focused artist development

Her teaching style is calm, supportive and tailored to the individual — designed to help artists refine both their technical skills and creative confidence.

The Education Philosophy

Education should feel inspiring, supportive and genuinely transformative.

The goal is not to create copies, but to help artists strengthen their own creative identity.
